CNY 2013

#reunion dinner day

i only manage to reach home on the the night before reunion dinner

i was very tired because i was doing all kinds of preparation such as cleaning and decoration once i reach home

good thing is my sis already done most of it before i am back

so no need to rush at least

furthermore, my aunt is busy texting with her boy

she is distracted and there was no pressure and attention on me

hehe

if will be perfect if my grandma didn't ruin my morning

i wake up early to get things done before another aunt's family arrived

who knows she demanded me to fetch her to buy things for the used of prayer

well,my plan was interrupted

i was unhappy and worst she throw all her negative feeling on me

damn it!

if you having war with my mum,

then please settle among yourself

i do no wrong to you

stop throwing your thrash at me!

after another aunt arrived

she took over the kitchen

and things begins easy to me

at least i do not have to confront my grandma when she is so stress up for the preparation of prayers

as usual, we had steamboat for the reunion dinner

nothing special after all

but we got Lou Sang this year

# CNY day 1

i think that was the only time i can sleep without worrying anybody would wake me up

although the sleeping quality wasn't ideal, yet i can sleep till noon

after washing up, its time to eat

because i wake up late and miss out the breakfast session

so i had to take breakfast and lunch at once

they left me a bowl of Canton-i wantan noodle as breakfast and i had vegetarian dishes as lunch

never have to worrying about food at my home

if you miss a session, there will be another session waiting for you

the supply will always be there and it is more than enough

after taking lunch, i went to visit my grandparents house

all of my uncles manage to come back and they finally can have enough players for mahjong

or else, they can only have 3 players including my grandfather

the game wont be so fun they said

as for those kids,they no longer sit down together to play and chit chat

instead, everybody is playing with their own ipad and tablet

sad to see them like this because CNY is meant to have fellowship with your cousin

they are your first friend....

then, i drove my cousin back to Sungai Petani, the place he currently staying for work

he said he forgot to bring his clothes for change and therefore he had to go back

but as what i observe, that wasn't the main purpose

he wanted to clean his house for dunno what purpose

there is nobody in his house

i am sure he can do that later after the CNY

i don't mind to be driver at all although the journey took me 2 hours to return

but he as a cousin at a age of 24, i do expect something from him

shouldn't he prepare for CNY?!

it is common that cleaning should have been done before the festival

he should also ensure he had everything he needed with him since his parents decided to stay over is known

i wish he can be less self-centered

at least not to bring inconvenience to people around

i can't understand sometimes why he often like to do the wrong thing at the wrong time

it is frustrating when it affects me

he like to answer in such a way that he do not have time

bull shit!

everybody is busy, nobody have time too

if you are that busy, why not drive your own car?

so that you don't have to upset your parents because you want to leave and they want to stay

we only have a simple dinner for the day

this is due to many wanted to go to the hot spring near my house

so no time to spend on cooking and cleaning

well, this idea begins with that particular cousin,again

very happening kind of cousin i had

it had been many years since my last visit to the hot spring

can't recall when was it actually

the road which leads to the hot spring is a little different from the past

i was surprised when i arrived because that place changed a lot

it have more pools and a better changing room

they also have very beautiful chalet for rent

the entry ticket rises to RM6 per entry for adult

it used to be only RM1 per entry for adult!

# CNY day 2

alright...i wake up late again

but not as late as day 1

memory is getting blur

i can't remember whether did i have breakfast on that day

we had lunch pretty early this year because there is less guests visiting

furthermore, there are a few helper whom came back earlier

so they can start doing since morning

everybody can have enough time without rushing

especially i can have my sweet time bathing

haha

it is a must to have the dish shown below every year

don't know how to name it in English

it is a pork and yam combination

my grandma signature dish

not for sale ^.^

after lunch, some went for afternoon nap and kids went for PC game

leaving us young adult doing nothing at the living room

it was a hot day

we felt like living in an oven

then, one of my cousin suggest us to go somewhere cool and shady

we went eventually

it was the waterfall i and my cousins used to go during childhood

after we have grown, we have stop going there

that place doesn't have much changes

no improvement work have been done

may be they want to leave it the way it is

it is natural aniway

just that it was a little crowded on that day

many Malays went there for leisure since it was a public holiday

back to the nature

we went home before the sun set

we had some sort of bbq for dinner

not as what i expected because i didn't manage to bbq my food

they were busy bbq satay

my aunty bought us 250 stick of satay!

unbelievable? believe it

after dinner we had Lou Sang again.... 

it is not the end yet

we had fireworks some more

it reminds me of my childhood memory with my cousins

we have became close again for this CNY and doing things we used to do when we are still a kid

we had a great time together and talking about those funny things we did during childhood

it was stupid things we did actually

before we enter sleep, we had some alcohol

i usually don't take alcohol during CNY

one of the reason is because my family dislike me taking it

this year, my cousin sister brought a bottle of wine and they finished it on day 1 if i am not wrong

there is another bottle of vodka which my cousin sister brought back years ago

they decided to open it since there are many people whom are good at drinking

initially it was my cousin sister drinking with my uncle and aunties

then i join because i pity her sitting there alone

it is common to have generation gap especially comes to chit chat topic

in the end, i also drink some as her companion

not sure whether did i improve on drinking

i didn't get red at all

it is a good sign i supposed
