here goes my lengthy post about the short escape to Langkawi island a few weeks ago

this trip was planned months ago of which i can't remember when

i only roughly can remember that all this begins with the Airasia free flight promo

well, big thanks to Airasia,

we managed to bought the return ticket from KL to Langkawi at RM 85.50 per person

its kinda cheap because it also includes a 15 kg luggage fees 

there were four of us going which made up of two couple

so, its kind of a double dating thing

the trip starts off with having breakfast with my friends at a chinese restaurant nearby their house

this is because it is common that dining at airport is expensive

consequently, in order to avoid over budget and feeling sick because of skipping breakfast

we decided to have simple breakfast to warm up our stomach first

after the breakfast session, my friend drove us to the airport

he then parked his car over there with a parking rates of RM 16 per day

of course the nearer you parked to the airport, the parking rates will be higher

we are getting excited for the escape

in remembrance of flying together for the 1st time,
we took a photo with the plane that gonna take us to Langkawi

the flying time is roughly an hour and we safely arrived at Langkawi International Airport at 1pm

we inquiry some of the travel agency and car rental agency in the arrival hall while we were waiting to collect the luggage

we got our hotel booked earlier, 

so we were mainly asking about the car rental service price and island hopping package

in the end,

we rented a myvi as our transportation tool at a price of RM 150 for 3 days

after we got the car and filled it with petrol,

we heads to our hotel and prepare to check in

we easily found our hotel with a free map we got from the airport and arrived before the check in time

since we still have some time, we went around and hunt for food 

we played safe and settled down at McDonald, Pantai Cenang to feed our tummy

it is located in a duty-free mall next to the Langkawi Underwater World

it is only about 5 minutes driving or less from our staying place

wondering where we stayed huh?

we were staying at Aseania Hotel

we purchased 4 vouchers of RM 199 each for 2D1N stay from Living Social 

we are entitled to stay in a deluxe room with two queen size beds

however, all of us squeezed in a room instead of two which we supposed to get on the first night

this is because there were some issue for our check in

luckily everything was resolved before we check out

and there was a happy ending for our stay

after getting everything done in the hotel,

there begins our exploration

the first stop we choose is Dataran Lang

it is one of the must go tourist spot in Langkawi where you can see a huge eagle statue

it starts raining after we took a few shots of photos

so we quickly leave the place before the rain gets heavier to avoid getting wet

we then went to Kuah town to do some shopping

there were plenty of duty free shop where you can get cheap chocolate and alcohol

dinner at Thai Paradise seafood restaurant

after the dinner, we have no idea where to hang out

it was too late for pasar malam already

thus, we decided to went back to our room to chill out

we bought a 500ml of Absolute Vodka and alcohol chocolate earlier at Kuah town

so, we were kind like having our own drinking party in the room

 we bought some ice along our way back to the hotel so that we make drinks in the room

what a sinful night

RM 20 only!!!

it has a very strong aroma of alcohol
you can smell it even before you open the packaging
however, it taste slighty too sweet for me
maybe i was expecting it to be bitter
