Langkawi D-2

yesterday was in a hurry
after we done our check in we went out again
therefore i only able to provide the photos of the hotel today

the staircase connecting the lobby and Laguna the dining place

reception counter
we had our breakfast buffet in the hotel for both day of our stay
it was included in our deal
so we save on many efforts on searching for food when most of the restaurant is still close in the morning

after the breakfast we decided to take cable car near Pantai Kok
we purposely went early to avoid crowd and long queue
at some point our objective is met because we only waited for roughly 10 -15 mins for our turn

in case you don't know,
the entrance for Langkawi cable car is located in the oriental village
entering the village and passing by some souvenir shops you will be able to see the ticket counter

ticket price is RM 15 per person with MyCard

in the sky cab with him
the journey to the top of the mountain and vice versa will usually take about 15 minutes
(excluding queuing time)
we even spot an eagle linger on the sky while we were on our way up the hill

unfortunately the SkyBridge is under maintenance

i think we weren't in the luck of going up hill
it was sunny when we were at the bottom
but when we reached the top,
haze comes from no where and surrounded the whole place
causing us didn't manage to see anything
so the money we spent on the ticket kind of went in vain
because we didn't get to see the beautiful scenery,
we only got some cool breeze

we waited for some times hoping the haze will go
but it shows no sign of getting sunny
so we went down hill and take a walk at the oriental village

an imitated Nami island of Korea
we found a small landscape corner trying to designated like Nami island of Korea
i don't understand why the authority/management even come up with this idea
shouldn't they promote our own country tourist spot instead of others?

by the way,
this imitated one is not even close to the real one
the real Nami island is 100 x more beautiful than this

bye bye oriental village
after finished exploring oriental village,
we went to the seven wells waterfall nearby
it is just minutes of driving away
but note that parking over there requires a parking fees of RM 2

seven wells waterfall/ telaga tujuh

the seven wells waterfall is named after the seven pools (wells) that can be found at the top of the waterfall
the seven natural pools have been formed at different levels by water streams that flow down the second highest mountain of Langkawi - Mount Mat Cincang
the total vertical fall is 91 meters

one of my friend fell sick after done visiting the waterfall
thus, we put a pause to our tour and return to the hotel for her to get some rest
i looked after her in the room while the gentlemen went out to buy her some medicine and soft food

maybe she is feeling guilty,
she insist that we should go out exploring, leaving her in the hotel
of course we won't dumped her
how much more is when she was so sick

after some discussion and compromising,
we decided that him and i will go out whereas her boyfriend stay with her
at least somebody can look after her

question now....
where should we go?

well...
i remembered seeing a food channel where the man go around Malaysia finding out hidden gems
i personally saw that MC before below my condo where he recommended the burger bakar
the way he eat really can pursue people that the food is nice
so i went to Google and see what he recommended in Langkawi
then i saw this Scarborough Fish and Chips
the reviews looks positive
many foreigner went there too and most of them give good feedback

it was located at the north of the island where i think the population is very little
this is because i don't see many houses and people around
we were the only customer when we arrived,
later then only comes another couple
that's all
the place isn't big either

they need 15-30 minutes to get our order served
i guess they put effort on preparing the food instead of doing it in the fast food way
luckily we weren't in a hurry
so we had some walk along the empty beach while waiting for our order

it wasn't a good weather that day
it was drizzling and very strong wind upon our arrival
i initially was hoping to see sunset but there is no sign of sunshine at all
haih...
i went so far but unable to get what i expected
quite disappointing actually
but the food saved the day
it was a new world to my taste buds

no sunset for the day
we went back when the sky turns dark
i finally stop clinging on the hope toward the possibility of seeing a sunset

night drink at Pantai Cenang
my friend got better after taking some medicine and some rest
so we don't waste time in the room and went out for a drink
by the effect of alcohol,
we all had a good rest that night
